Welcome to CAMBA

Canadian Animal Massage and Bodyworkers Association (CAMBA) was founded in May 2007. It is a self-regulatory, professional ‘not for profit’ organization.

Bodyworker refers to an individual who is working in a field of complementary medicine that is not specifically described as massage therapy for humans or animals but is in the list of covered therapies outlined in the Complementary Medical Practitioners Application form provided by Elliot Special Risks LP.

The principle objectives of CAMBA are:

·         To promote the adoption of high standards of practice in massage and bodywork, thereby to offer the public the means of accessing the services of those held to a high professional standard.

·         To establish a nationwide professionally determined Standards of Training, Conduct and competence for the protection of the public and animals.

·         To act as a unifying body by bringing together organizations engaged in representing or teaching massage and/or bodywork.
